Starting in the late “70’s”, GIBCA participated in the delivery of a turnkey 300 MW Power Station and 2 MIGD desalination plant, the core of the first major central power station in Abu Dhabi. Following this GIBCA was directly contracted the turnkey design and construction of 60 MW Power Station with an integrated 33 KVA substation/distribution network in the early “80’s” which lead to the incorporation of GIBCA Energy. 

Since inception, GIBCA Energy has played a major role in the UAE’s infrastructure projects mainly in the production and delivery of electric energy. Our reference in this field covers a wide spectrum from simple cycle power stations in remote areas, to Mobile Gas Turbine Generating sets, to Gas Turbine Generating packages powering central and satellite platforms at offshore oilfields, to Desalination plants and large central Cogeneration Power Plants, while on the energy delivery side it includes supply & installation of MV & HV cables, first 400KV XLPE Cable link in the UAE and HV Submarine Cable circuits. GIBCA Energy has assisted its principals in the finalization of over $ 4 billion of awarded contracts for delivery and ongoing development of 5000 plus MW of generated power and over 300 MIGD of desalinated water.
